Leo Burnett / Karen Ferry Senior Copywriter
Karen Ferry is a senior copywriter at Leo Burnett Sydney. She’s the national head of AWARD School, a member of the AWARD Committee, and a regular panellist on that TV show about advertising, Gruen. In between, she’s also appeared on panels, podcasts, the Project, and was also the Australian See It Be It representative at the recent Cannes Festival for Creativity.
She’s spent the last 12 years working at some of Australia’s leading advertising agencies, including The Monkeys, DDB and JWT Sydney. During this time she’s created consumer- loved campaigns for brands including Samsung, Volkswagen, IKEA, McDonald’s, and helped establish Comparethemarket.com.au in the Australian market. As a result, she’s picked up over 70 awards and accolades from Cannes, Clios, London International Awards, AWARD, Effies, and more.
In her spare time, she likes renovating tiny furniture and looking up weird crap on Gumtree.
303 MullenLowe / Gary McCreadie Executive Creative Director
Blimey, 17 years in creative advertising.
Previously, Creative Director and Partner at BBH London, running the agency's largest and most high profile creative accounts - Lynx/Axe global and The Guardian. BBH held the titles for Campaign Agency of the Year, British Arrows Agency of the Year, APG Agency of the Year, D&AD No.2 Agency in the World.
Then followed on to be Executive Creative Director of TBWA\Sydney from 2014 - 2017 an agency of 160 people. During that time TBWA was awarded Ad News’ 'Network of the Year 2015', shortlisted for Mumbrella’s 'Agency of the Year 2015', and was runner-up for B&T's 'Agency of the Year 2016'.
More recently running Ugly Sydney. A brand new boutique agency, fixing the industry's more tricky problems with some sweet-ass, beautiful ideas. Clients include: Google, Ozmosis and Uno.

Clemenger BBDO / Brendan Willenberg Creative Director
"Brendan has been in advertising for just over 12 years and has loved absolutely every minute of it. He’s won a bunch of awards, judged shows, travelled the world, worked on some amazing brands and, some not so amazing brands. In his 6 years at Clemenger BBDO he’s worked on Tourism Australia, QANTAS, Stayz, HelloWorld, V Energy Drink, and Foxtel. He loves brilliantly simple ideas that are both creative and effective. He has also just finished his tenure as Head of AWARD School. And he loves talking in the third person"
QUALITANCE / Mike Parsons Chief Innovation Officer
After quitting university after seven weeks, Mike has gone on to achieve remarkable feats. He launched Australia's first internet radio station, lived in Europe and USA, claimed a Guinness Book of Record and sold his Silicon Valley Startup.
Mike is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at Qualitance and advises Fortune 500's such as Nike, Xbox, Levi's and Breville. He is also an advisor for FasterIntel, a European AI startup. During his time in advertising, Mike won many global awards - DA&D Pencils, Cannes Lion’s, Effie’s – even a TED award.
His talks span innovation, marketing and embracing change in the business world. He's appeared on CNN and has spoken at numerous events including the FT Media Summit and the Design Thinking Forum.
