I’m Charlotte – Glug HQ’s newest recruit. From here on out, I’ll be heading up partnerships for the global creative movement, and I’m pretty damn excited about it.
So a little bit about me and my adventure so far.
Craving some real life exposure to the industry which my Marketing degree at Newcastle University was missing, I spent some time with Creative Boom during summer holidays back home in Manchester. Inspired by the people, ideas and topics I was writing about - I knew this was an industry I had to be in on. At the time I was also part of Red Bull’s student programme and this is where I found my love for events and a high octane lifestyle.
With a degree in the bag, I moved to London to pick up some partnerships skills with Red Bull - working on an eclectic mix of projects including Air Race, Formula 1 and Culture Clash. I’ve always had an itch to travel and work abroad, so when the time was right I ventured to Asia and Australia where I worked with startups built around mindfulness and sustainability. However, London has always had a gravitational pull for me, so I returned and jumped into D&AD’s partnerships team. Here I spent two years’ bringing brand partners to life at the D&AD Festival and helping the next generation of creatives get their first gig through New Blood.
I’m a big believer of living in the present, so let’s talk about where I am right now. Sat staring at a ‘No Messing’ sign at Glug HQ. For me, Glug is a fusion of what makes me feel alive the most: pushing boundaries, new connections, empowering creative communities and having fun along the way.
